CampusIRL is exclusively for current students and faculty with a valid .edu email address. Using a fake or stolen university email is grounds for immediate permanent suspension.

02. Community Standards
Online actions have real-life consequences. We maintain zero-tolerance for harassment, hate speech, or illegal activities within the campus ecosystem.
03. Marketplace Transactions
CampusIRL provides the platform for communication; we do not process payments for Marketplace or Bounties. Users are solely responsible for fulfillment and safety.
04. Event Responsibility
Event hosts are responsible for following campus rules and local laws. CampusIRL is not liable for incidents occurring at physical meetups or social events.

05. DMCA Policy
CampusIRL respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our Designated Agent with the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner.
- Description of the copyrighted work.
- Description of where the infringing material is located on the app.
- Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email).

Counter-Notice
If you believe content you posted was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the Designated Agent with: your physical or electronic signature, identification of the removed material and its location before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your name, address, and phone number. You must also consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, the federal district court for the Central District of California) and accept service of process from the complaining party.
Repeat Infringers
CampusIRL will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
06. End User License Agreement
1. Agreement
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a binding legal agreement between you and CampusIRL regarding your use of the CampusIRL mobile application (the “Application”). By installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you must uninstall the Application immediately.
2. User-Generated Content (Zero Tolerance)
CampusIRL functions as a platform for user-generated content. To ensure a safe environment, the following rules are strictly enforced:
- Zero Tolerance: There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
- Prohibited Content: You may not upload content that is defamatory, discriminatory, pornographic, obscene, violent, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. Bullying, harassment, and "doxxing" are strictly prohibited.
- Monitoring and Removal: CampusIRL moderates all content. Content reported as objectionable will be reviewed and removed within 24 hours.
- Ban Policy: Users who violate this policy or upload objectionable content will have their access to the Application terminated immediately.
- Reporting: The Application provides a mechanism for users to report offensive content and block abusive users. You agree to use these tools responsibly.

3. Acknowledgement
You and CampusIRL acknowledge that this Agreement is concluded between you and CampusIRL only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). CampusIRL, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Application and the content thereof.
4. Scope of License
CampusIRL grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license is for personal, non-commercial use only.
5. Age Requirement (17+)
CampusIRL is rated 17+ globally, with regional exceptions where local law sets a higher minimum age. By using the Application, you represent that you meet the minimum age requirement for your region. You agree that your use of the Application will comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
6. Warranty
CampusIRL disclaims all warranties about the Application to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent any warranty exists under law that cannot be disclaimed, CampusIRL, not Apple, shall be solely responsible for such warranty.
7. Maintenance and Support
You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Application.
8. Product Claims
CampusIRL, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Application or your use of it, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
In the event of any third-party claim that the Application or your possession and use of that Application infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, CampusIRL, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
10. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, our policies, or if your use of the Application creates risk or possible legal exposure. You may stop using the Application at any time. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CampusIRL and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Application or your violation of these Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampusIRL and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Application or these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Application after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Application will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
